Felipe Ziotti Narita, Ph.D.
I am a historian and social scientist who works with interdisciplinary approaches on social theory, globalization, contemporary history, social movements, and modernization discourses. I have been teaching courses on social theory, public policy, contemporary history and theory of history to undergraduate and graduate students in Brazil at the São Paulo State University (UNESP) and Baron of Mauá University. I am an associate researcher at the São Paulo Research Foundation (FAPESP) and since 2016 I have been working as a political analyst for major newspapers in Spain and Mexico with essays and interviews on Latin American politics. I am currently working on a book chapter to Brill, editing a special issue on crisis and globalization (2021) and another one on the birth of conservarism in Brazil (Biblioteca Nacional, 2022) – also working on a book manuscript on digital capitalism that will probably come out in 2021 (University of Westminster Press) as well. I serve as a reviewer within academic journals and publishing houses in Italy, England, United States, Colombia, Denmark and Brazil. As a translator (English, French, German, Portuguese and Spanish), I often coordinate and publish interviews and translated articles in academic journals. On this website I also run a blog in English and Portuguese intended for a general audience.
